Auto Tune-Ups

Got the Shakes?

Does your vehicle feel sluggish? Is your car not running like it used to? Or does it have "THE SHAKES?"

It's probably time for a tune-up. Often times our customers assume a tune-up is a repair. This is a sure sign that the vehicle maintenance log has not been read. Fortunately tune-ups are not performed as often as sweeping your floor, but they should be viewed in the same way. Today the typical tune-up consists of new spark plugs, throttle-body cleaning, air & fuel-filter replacement and an inspection of the entire ignition & fuel delivery system.

When a vehicle has been brought to us with a tune-up related issue like the shakes or poor fuel economy or loss of power, then it is past a "typical tune-up". It may require what we call a "major tune-up". This can include, but may not be limited to spark plugs, spark plug wires, ignition coil replacement, PCV valve, EGR valve, timing belt adjustments or replacement, induction/injector service, fuel and air filters replacements.

BigMechanic.Com offers a free inspection of all of these components. Usually when a major tune-up has been performed, vehicles are be back on track to follow the regularly scheduled maintenance log.
